As the director of Pacific Pediatric Associates, Dr. Varinder Bal brings many years of experience to both community and hospital-based pediatric care. She is known for her compassionate and skilled healthcare for children. For the past decade, her focus has been on providing ambulatory pediatric care in her community practice, while also contributing to the Pediatric inpatient services and Pediatric Emergency Department at the Surrey Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bal also serves as Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. She has previously fulfilled a role as Co-Head, Department of Pediatrics at SMH.
Dr. Bal completed her Pediatric specialty training at Albany Medical Center, NY and then pursued clinical fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Stanford University, California. Dr. Bal obtained her certification in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2014. Dr. Bal is committed to working closely with her patients, their families and other involved physicians. She truly values your child’s well-being and cares deeply about the health of all children.
